Hello!   I am SO glad that you stopped by!  Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I am a stay at home mom of two darling babes.  I was/am an elementary school teacher - now instead of teaching a whole bunch of little ones - I get to teach my own every day!! 

Now, about my business - I am going to let you in on a little secret - I LOVE Martha Stewart!!  I love to craft, cook, sew, decorate, photograph - I love it all.  A while ago, I saw an ABSOLUTELY darling handbag that I just had to have.  So, of course, I bought it - who can resist a handbag??  As I was loving my bag - I thought how fun it would be to have even MORE great handbags!!  I searched for some interesting material, dove deep into my sewing knowledge (middle school / high school AND a fabulous seamstress mother!!) and VIOLA I started creating my Sweetcake Handbags! 

I decided to name my business Simple Sweetcakes because of my love of Simply Fabulous and Simple Fashion (think Martha Stewart, pearls, little black dress - total classics!) AND my undeniable desire for sweets - particularly CHOCOLATE!!  Naturally, I had to find the most delicious adjectives to describe my decadent fabric creations.
